Farmers Market Returning to Woodlawn Neighborhood Feb. 14

WOODLAWN — The 61st Street Farmers Market is returning this month.

The market will be set up indoors at the Experimental Station, 6100 S. Blackstone Ave., on Feb. 14, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, bread, eggs and even prepared seasonal food, veggie burgers, soups, honey, sauces and more.

Representatives from the South Side Diabetes Project will be set up at the market to provide participants with free market money. There also will be chef tastings 10:30-11 a.m.

LINK and senior farmers market coupons will be accepted. Those with LINK cards are able to double the value of their purchases each week. The market matches LINK purchases up to $25 per cardholder, per market day.
