CHICAGO — Police are investigating the shooting of a 40-year-old man who was wounded by a stray bullet in Back of the Yards.
The incident occurred about 3:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of West 48th Street, police said.
The man was inside a building when someone outside fired shots that entered the building, wounding the victim in the upper arm, police said. Police do not believe the man was the shooting's intended target.
The man was taken to Stroger Hospital. Police did not know his condition, but said it had stabilized.
