HYDE PARK — The University Church will grill the mayoral candidates on Feb. 3 about their plans to help black and Latino communities.

The church at 5655 S. University Ave. will host a candidates forum at 7 p.m. with Anchor Erika Maldonado of Univision and Araron Freeman from National Public Radio moderating.

Candidates Jesus “Chuy” Garcia, Robert Fioretti and Willie Wilson have already confirmed they will attend and answer questions from the leaders of community organizations across the South and West sides about how to unify the city.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel is invited to participate, but has not yet confirmed whether he will attend.
