CHICAGO— Four people were wounded, one critically, in separate shootings on the South and West Sides Wednesday, police said.

In the most recent shooting, two men were shot in the 3700 block of West Lake Street in Garfield Park, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago police spokeswoman, citing preliminary information.

One man in his 30s was shot in his back, and no information was available for the other victim. Both men were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Sedevic said.

At 10:20 a.m. in North Lawndale, a 54-year-old man was shot in his ankle and leg, in the 4300 block of West Cermak Road, Sedevic said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, Sedevic said.

Twenty minutes earlier in Woodlawn, a 19-year-old man was shot multiple times in the 600 block of East 67th Street. The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, Sedevic said.

No other information was immediately available.
