NORWOOD PARK — Adults looking to brush up on their Revolutionary War history can take a class offered at Resurrection College Prep High School starting Feb. 10.
Titled In the Name of Freedom, the course will cover the causes of the American Revolutionary War and the struggles of the 13 former colonies after their victory over the British.
Taught by Mike Longo, a religious studies teacher, the class will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 10, Feb. 24, March 10 and March 24 at Resurrection College Prep, 7500 W. Talcott Ave.
The course will include the books "1776" by David McCullough, "The Story of American Freedom" by Eric Foner, and "The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves, and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History" by Robert M. Edsel, as well as the documentary film "The Rape of Europa."
