CHICAGO — Fire crews rescued a woman from Belmont Harbor Sunday morning, authorities said.

The woman was jogging and had fallen in the lake at Belmont Harbor, in the 3500 block of North Lake Shore Drive, about 10:35 a.m., police said. Another jogger tried to help her until Chicago fire officials arrived on the scene.

She was holding on to a bulwark at the harbor when rescuers pulled her out, said Fire Department Cmdr. Frank Velez.

The woman, 35, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. Authorities did not know her condition, but said it had stabilized.

No more information was available.
