BEVERLY — Imagine owning a painting Pablo Picasso made in preschool.

Supporters of the Beverly Montessori School will have an opportunity to bid on work by the next generation of artists at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Beverly Arts Center at 2407 W. 111th St. in Morgan Park.

Various art created by the 65 children attending the half- and full-day preschool and kindergarten programs at the Beverly Montessori School will be available through a silent auction.

"Everything that we do in Montessori is 'work.' So, that's why we are creating these works of art," said Kelley Ciraulo, head of the school at 9916 S. Walden Parkway.

Ciraulo took over the top spot at the school on July 1. She graduated from the Beverly Montessori School in 1985. Ciraulo is also a lifelong Beverly resident.

She's hoping to draw more alumni to the annual fundraiser as well as additional support from the greater community.

Tickets for the art auction cost $45, which includes an open bar, appetizers, desserts, live music, and the silent art auction. For more information, visit the Beverly Montessori School's website or call 773-239-7635.
