SAUGANASH — A Sauganash man offering up his pimp services online was arrested at O'Hare Airport last week, Cook County Sheriff's officials said Tuesday.

Jim Sacluti, 38, of Sauganash, was arrested on a warrant charging him with promoting prostitution on Jan. 9 at O'Hare Airport while waiting for a flight to Tokyo, officials said.

Sacluti fled to the Philippines in 2013 before police could arrest him in connection with an investigation into advertisements on backpage.com for prostitutes, according to a statement from Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart.

Sacluti offered to serve as a pimp for a woman who advertised her services on the website, which features classified ads for a host of services in Chicago and cities throughout the nation, officials said.

Sacluti is charged with taking money from a woman who told him she had earned it by working as a prostitute. However, the woman whom Sacluti dealt with was an undercover Cook County Sheriff’s Police officer, according to Dart's statement.

Sacluti, whose last known address was in the 6000 block of North Sauganash Avenue, is being held without bail, and was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
