LOGAN SQUARE — Two new restaurant concepts from Land and Sea Dept. are set for a mid-January opening on the border of Logan Square and Avondale.

On Monday morning, the crew announced the locations of two new eateries — a Chinese-American takeout counter and a tropical tiki bar — along with other details and social media pages for browsing ahead of the upcoming openings.

Thank You and Lost Lake will open side-by-side in mid-January at 3154 W. Diversey Ave. and 3152 W. Diversey Ave., formerly The Previous Administration space.

They join Longman and Eagle, Parson's Chicken and Fish, From Good Stock and about a dozen other Land and Sea Dept. art, restaurant and design projects.

But we're still waiting on that Ronny's rehab — and that Parson's skating rink.

Check out plans for the upcoming restaurant pair below:

LOST LAKE

The tropical tiki bar will feature over 275 curated rums and a menu of classic tiki cocktails by partner and beverage director Paul McGee, according to operators at the Land and Sea Dept.

Smuggler’s Cove owner Martin Cate will oversee the club and contribute tiki artifacts from his personal collection. The tiki bar will be open Sunday through Monday 4 p.m.-2 a.m. and Saturday 4 p.m.-3 a.m., serving a takeout-style menu available from neighboring restaurant Thank You.

THANK YOU

The upcoming American-Chinese takeout counter and delivery concept will be located next to Lost Lake at  Diversey Avenue and Kedzie Boulevard.

Executive chef Gabriel Freeman (Mott St., Ruxbin, The Publican) will oversee a handpicked menu focusing on wok cookery.

Inspired by the idea of wok hei, or “the breath of the wok,” Freeman will “allow the extreme heat of the wok to fortify each dish with energy and smokiness, allowing for takeout food that transcends the usual.”

Thank You will be open at 4 p.m. daily, closing at 3 a.m. Sunday through Friday and 4 a.m. on Saturdays. A food menu will be available for carryout and delivery at the adjacent tiki bar, Lost Lake.
