CHICAGO — The CTA has canceled weekend construction that was going to temporarily suspend service on the Green Line, due to inclement weather.

Construction of the new Cermak-McCormick Place station would have suspended service between the Roosevelt and 35th-Bronzeville-IIT stations, according to the CTA.

Additional work is tentatively scheduled for Jan. 10 from 1:40 a.m. until 11:40 a.m.

When completed, the $50 million station will feature enclosed platforms, elevators and bike racks.
