Lakeview Shooting Wounds Man, Among Two Shot Monday

CHICAGO — A 21-year-old man shot in Lakeview was one of two people shot overnight across the city.

Around 10:20 p.m., the 21-year-old man was standing at a gas station in the 4000 block of North Clark Street when someone shot him, said Officer Ron Gaines, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man drove himself to Weiss Memorial Hospital after being shot in the right shoulder. He was listed in stable condition, Gaines said.

A short time earlier, a man was shot in East Garfield Park.

Around 9:55 p.m., the man was shot in the leg while walking in the 500 block of North Springfield Avenue, Gaines said.

His age and condition was not available, Gaines said.  No one is in custody for the shootings.
