CHICAGO — Two people were hospitalized after a stabbing incident over a woman early Saturday, police said.

Around 2:40 a.m., a 30-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the 5700 block of North California Avenue in Peterson Park, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to Our Lady of Resurrection Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition after being stabbed in his back and hand. He will be transferred to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center later, Lemmon said.

A 27-year-old man was struck with an unknown object in his arm and leg. He was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, Lemmon said.
