Police Looking for Teens In Connection to Hyde Park Armed Robberies

CHICAGO — Police are looking for teens who may be responsible for at least two armed robberies in Hyde Park.

The robberies occurred in December, one of them in the 1700 block of East 55th Street around 5:15 p.m. and the other in the 1700 block of East 54th Street around 6 p.m., according to a police alert.

During both incidents, the robbers walked up to the victim, took out a blue steel handgun and demanded the victim's money, purse and phone.

Police describe the suspects as black men who are 5-foot-4 and 14-15 years of age. 

Anyone in a similar incident should report suspicious activity immediately and remember any unique physical characteristics like scars or walking with a limp, according to an alert.
