CHICAGO — One person was killed and 22 were wounded in shootings over the weekend, including four people shot overnight across the city.

Among the four wounded overnight was a woman shot in Back of the Yards around 11:40 p.m., said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The woman was in the 2100 block of West 54th Place when someone shot her in the shoulder, Sedevic said.

The woman, whose age was unavailable, refused medical attention and was uncooperative with police, Sedevic said.

Around 8:50 p.m., a 34-year-old man was walking in the 700 block of South Kenneth Avenue when he was approached by two men, one of whom was armed. The man got into a fight with the duo and was shot in his buttocks, Sedevic said.

Family drove the man to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he's listed in stable condition, Sedevic said.

Sunday night in South Chicago, a man died after fleeing the scene of a shooting that left a man wounded. Another woman was injured in the crash and the shooting is in custody.

A shooting in a Chatham lounge also left a 40-year-old man wounded.

Earlier Sunday, seven people were injured in shootings and a man was killed in West Englewood.

From Saturday night into Sunday, four people were injured in shootings.

Seven people were shot from Friday night into Saturday.
