CHICAGO — Here are the places you should eat the weekend before Christmas.

• The Meatloaf Bakery has a novel way of celebrating the holidays: with meatloaf.

The Lincoln Park restaurant is in the middle of its "12 Days of Meatloaf" celebration, for which Chief Meatloaf Maker Cynthia Kallile whipped up special recipes with loafs crafted from ingredients such as Alaskan salmon, turkey and chorizo.

• The pizza at Marie's Pizza & Liquors in Mayfair is fantastic, but that's not why we suggest you go there this weekend.

For the past 40 years, the restaurant has decked itself out into a Christmas wonderland. Check it out:

• Count this as a Christmas miracle. Homemade corned beef hash has returned to Mount Greenwood.

The dish has proved popular at Magic Restaurant, which closed after a 2012 fire. The recently open Antonios Cafe & Restaurant now serves the dish, much to the delight of Far South Siders.

"The people want it, so we did that," said owner Antonios "Tony" Foukas, adding that it took two weeks to perfect the recipe.

•  Sugar Fixe Macaron, the city's first shop completely focused on macarons opened in Lincoln Park.

Sugar Fixe is featuring 18 flavors of macarons each day. Fourteen will be staples, while the remaining four will be seasonal specialties.

For December the seasonal flavors include hot chocolate, white chocolate peppermint, snickerdoodle and lavender.
