MORGAN PARK — These are the days to remember... specifically Feb. 13.

That's when alternative-rock band 10,000 Maniacs will perform at 8 p.m. at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St. in Morgan Park.

Tickets cost $36, or $33 for members of the arts center. There's also a special VIP ticket package that includes a pre-show cocktail party from 6:30-7:30 p.m. with open bar, light appetizers and desserts. The VIP tickets cost $50 or $47 for members. Only 50 such tickets will be sold.

10,000 Maniacs enjoyed its greatest success in the early 1990s with lead singer Natalie Merchant. She left to pursue a solo career in 1993.

However, the band has continued to tour with a lineup that includes founders Dennis Drew (keyboard and vocals) and Steve Gustafson (bass and vocals). Mary Ramsey (viola and lead vocals), Jerry Augustiniak (drums and vocal) and Jeff Erickson (lead guitar) now comprise the rest of the group.

"Music from the Motion Picture," released in 2013, is the first new record for the band in 13 years.

Doors and full bar opens at 7 p.m. For more information and tickets, call 773-445-3838 or visit the Beverly Arts Center's website.
