CHICAGO — A full-floor co-op with "exquisite" white interiors designed by John Ansehl is on the market in Gold Coast for $2.19 million.

The co-op at 233 E. Walton Place No. 9 has four bathrooms and and four full bathrooms. It is housed within a historic cooperative building that was constructed in 1922 and designed by Kenneth Franzheim, according to Coldwell Banker's Jennifer Ames.

With 4,500 square feet of living space, the inside of the co-op was designed by John Ansehl in shades of "carefully selected" white to "accentuate the brightness of this sun-filled residence," Ames said.

Picture and crown moldings, art and designer lighting and a "sophisticated" kitchen are among the home's finishes.

The co-op has a keyed elevator, which opens to the foyer and a "gracious" corridor. The kitchen, described as both "sleek" and "contemporary," has European-style cabinets, top-quality appliances, a walk-in pantry with a champagne cooler and an adjoining butler's pantry, according to Ames.

New owners can warm up by the gas fireplace or enjoy views of the lake in the living room. The "inviting" den" is complete with a wall of built-ins, and opens up to the spacious dining room.

The master bedroom has three walk-in closets, a dressing room and two en suite bathrooms. There is an additional en suite bedroom. The other two bedrooms share a full bathroom.

The apartment is situated within a 14-story mid-rise building, which is home to 13 apartments and offers amenities like a 24-hour door staff and assigned storage.

Lake Shore Drive and bus routes to the Loop are easily accessible. And Ogden Elementary School is four blocks west of the building, according to Ames.

Also nearby is the beach as well as Magnificent Mile and Oak Street shopping. The building is also in close proximity to famous restaurants and cultural institutions.
