CHICAGO — Police are warning Garfield Park residents of a recent rash of burglaries in the area.
The thieves entered through basement doors to steal televisions, video games, clothing and other items from apartments and homes, according to a community alert.
The burglaries took place Dec. 4 in the 4700 block of West Monroe Street and between Nov. 29 and Dec. 2 in the 4400 block of West Maypole Avenue, police said.
They occurred during the early morning hours, officials said.
