CHICAGO — A one-bedroom condo with floor-to-ceiling windows is on the market in a historic Gold Coast building for $225,000.

Built in 1963, 1300 N. Astor St. Unit 13B is housed within Astor Tower, a building designed by famous Chicago architect Bertrand Goldberg.

The unit has Wenge hardwood floors and is lined with floor-to-ceiling windows, providing "stunning" views of Astor Street, the lake and the park, according to @properties' Leslie Glazier

Arguably the most unique features of the unit, Glazier said, are the retro kitchen and the "chic" bathroom because they haven't been changed since the '60s when Astor Tower was a hotel with a French theme.

The freezer and refrigerator are built into the kitchen cabinets, and the light switches are still labeled "maid," Glazier said.

"Most of the people who live in this building are architects, designers and modern minimalists who appreciate the traits," Glazier said.

The building offers a 24-hour doorman, a "spectacular" rooftop deck and a laundry room.

Pets up to 25 pounds are allowed in the unit, and a leased parking spot is available.

The neighborhood schools are Ogden Elementary School and Lincoln Park High School.
