NORWOOD PARK — The Taft High School Local School Council is looking for a parent to fill a vacant seat.

The 13-member council, which is in charge of the school's budget, rules and selecting the principal every four years, is scheduled to meet Tuesday at 6530 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. and hear from applicants for the seat.

Parent representatives must currently have a student enrolled at Taft and may not be an employee of the Board of Education.

The council is expected to vote on a new member at the meeting, according to its agenda.

Those interested in filling the vacancy can send an email to the council about why they are interested in filling the seat.
