LINCOLN SQUARE — You may be in line for a Christmas bonus — in the form of a lower property tax bill — and not even know it.

Find out how property tax appeals are granted, and how to file one, at a workshop hosted Wednesday at the 47th Ward office, 4243 N. Lincoln Ave.

Staff will be on hand to answer questions and assist with appeals 2-5 p.m. on a first-come first-served basis. Bring a copy of the second installment of your property tax bill or have your Property Index Number handy.

The Cook County Board of Review is accepting appeals through Dec. 15 for households in Jefferson Township, which is bounded by North, Devon, Western and Harlem avenues.

The event is co-sponsored by Cook County Commissioners John Fritchey and Bridget Gainer and Ald. Ameya Pawar (47th).
