Visit the Daley Branch for 'Holiday Musical Merriment'

BRIDGEPORT — Musician and storyteller Sandy Lucas will visit the Richard J. Daley branch of the Chicago Public Library for an evening of holiday tunes. 

The event takes place 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the library, 3400 S. Halsted St. It's free and open to all ages. 

Organizers say the performance will include a a variety of holiday songs and stories. 

According to her online biography, Lucas is the winner of the Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching and "uses her music to make children feel special, and brings parents in on the fun too! Kids and adults alike sing-a-long, dance-a-long, and delight in her home made kitchen band instruments."
