CHICAGO — This weekend's menu will feature drinks and artisan foods. It also may prove to be bittersweet as you'll be saying goodbye to some of Chicago's favorites.

• Another one of Chicago's 4 a.m. bars is biting the dust. Underbar, near the Western-Belmont bridge, announced it would be closing Dec. 13 after a 10-year-run.

"I would have people come in and ask, 'What's your signature drink?' At Underbar? A beer and a shot," manager Laurel Tiknis said.

You have one week left to check out this no-frills dive.

Underbar, 3243 N. Western Ave.

• Wicker Park is also losing a favorite. An artisan bread shop and cafe steps from Wicker Park's main intersection, Red Hen Bread opened in 1997. It's set to close on Dec. 15.

The final day for special bread orders is Dec. 13.

• Head to Irving Park and check out Saturday's artisan food market hosted by Lizard's Liquid Lounge.

From 2-7 p.m. you can pick up handmade sweets, breads, preserves and more for yourself or as gifts.

Participating vendors include Albany Park's Breadman Baking Co., famous for its cinnamon swirl loaves; Katherine Anne Confections, whose truffles and caramels are well-known to sweets lovers; and Autumn Berry Inspired, which makes jams out of the fruit of an invasive species.

• Who needs Santa when you've got Krampus? Martyrs' in North Center is hosting its second annual Krampusfest, honoring the Christmas figure charged with punishing bad people, on Sunday.

The day kicks off with a holiday market from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. featuring handmade items from local artisans. A parade and live music event will take place after.

But food is a centerpiece to this event. The Krampus Cafe will be serving potato pancakes, sausages from Paulina Meat Market, beer, glogg and hot cocoa.
