Were You a Victim of a Recent Burglary? Police Might Have Your Stuff

CHICAGO — Chicago police are asking North Side burglary victims to come by the North Auditorium in Lakeview Friday to see if any of their property is among items recovered during a burglary ring bust.

Any residents who have been a victim of a burglary in the last nine months are encouraged to come and check out the items at the auditorium, 2452 W. Belmont Ave.,  from 4-7 p.m., police said in a statement.

Anyone wishing to claim a stolen item must be able to provide proof of purchase or ownership, police said.

During an investigation of burglaries in the Town Hall and Foster police districts, police recovered numerous stolen items including cameras, laptops and jewelry.

Police arrested a man and woman in connection with the burglaries.

Daunta Head was charged with residential burglary, burglary and theft. Patrice Banks was charged with theft, police said
