EDGEWATER — Edgewater businesses are offering deals and free food and drinks Saturday for "Small Business Saturday," a nationwide effort to support independent shops.

The Edgewater Chamber of Commerce suggests to "kick-start" your holiday shopping at these participating businesses:

Audio Archaeology — Free ear buds and gift wrapping on purchases of more than $25.

Bark Bark Club — Half-price nail trims all weekend, free cider, and cookies and treats for humans and dogs.

Cheetah Gym Edgewater — One-year membership, no initiation fee, one personal training session for $499.

Clark Devon Hardware — Hot chocolate, coffee and cookies for customers all weekend.

Edgewater Workbench — Free 3D printed "shop pal" with retail purchase.

Independent Spirits Inc. — Free Independent Spirits Inc. wine key for the first 20 customers to buy a bottle of wine with cash.

Jackalope Theatre — Coffee and tickets to Crumble (Lay Me Down, Justin Timberlake) at The Frontier, 1106 W. Thorndale Ave.

Maddiebird Bakery — Free coffee or tea with purchase.

Ruff Haus Pets — 14 percent off non-food purchases (in honor of 14 years in business).

Salon Echo — 30-minute express facial and Blow Dry Style for $65.

Sifu Design Studio — 20 percent off purchases of more than $50.

Third Coast Comics — 20 percent off graphic novels with mention of the phrase "Holy cats! Graphic novels are awesome!"

True Nature Foods — Food samples all day.
