GOLD COAST— A man died after falling to his death in Streeterville early Sunday in an apparent suicide, authorities said.

At 1 a.m., police found a man unresponsive in the 300 block of East Ohio Street, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago police spokesman.

According to the Tribune, the unidentified man fell from at least the 10th floor of a hotel.

An autopsy conducted on the man, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office, as a 21-year-old Western Springs resident, determined he died of suicide. He was pronounced dead on the scene at 1:43 a.m.

In August, a 38-year-old man fell to his death at the same hotel. Authorities ruled his death an accident.

No other details were immediately available.
