CHICAGO — Shootings have wounded two people since Saturday night, police said.

In Little Village, about 5:30 a.m., an 18-year-old man was found unresponsive with gunshot wounds to both legs in the 2500 block of South Francisco Avenue, police said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said. The shooting appears to have been gang related and no one is in custody, police said.

At 8:02 p..m., a 16-year-old boy was standing on the sidewalk with a friend in the 1200 block of South Independence Boulevard when an unknown man approached and fired shots, striking the victim in the chin, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago police spokesman.

The boy walked into Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, Estrada said.

No one is in custody, and Area Central detectives is investigating.
