CHICAGO — A man was stabbed with a bottle during a fight in Pilsen Friday evening, according to police.

Around 9:15 p.m., the man, 29, was walking in the 1100 block of West 18th Street when four people came up to him and a fight broke out, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago police spokesman.

During the fight, one of them stabbed the man in his head with a bottle, Estrada said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital where he is in stable condition, he added.

Police said the victim and the four people who engaged in the fight are documented gang members, and it appears that the incident was gang-related.

No one is in custody.
