Rock For Kids Auction Includes Lunch With Shaq

LINCOLN PARK — One Chicago non-profit is trying to help create the future generation of the city's rock stars.

Rock for Kids is hosting is annual charity event Saturday, to help raise funds to provide music education for underserved students in Chicago Public Schools.

Some live auction items at the event include trips to the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco or the New Orleans Jazz Fest; tickets to Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox games; a Lollapalooza package; Wilco Winterlude tickets; and last but not least, lunch with Shaquille O'Neal.

Tickets to the event include admission to the live and silent auction, musical performances by Foundations of Music Students and a reception and buffet.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. at Park West Theater, 322 W. Armitage Ave. and the auctions start at 8 p.m.

Tickets can be bought online for $125.
