CHICAGO — Lakeview residents should be on the lookout for a group of men who committed two robberies in the neighborhood over the weekend, police said.

The robberies were Saturday, and in both incidents the group asked the victims if they wanted to buy drugs before taking their cellphones and wallets, police said.

The first robbery was around 2 a.m. in the 3300 block of North Clark Street; the second was about 45 minutes later in the 3500 block of North Wilton Avenue, police said.

Two of the men in the group were about 5-foot-7 and weighed about 150 pounds. They were wearing black skullcaps and black jackets, police said.

The two other men were about 6-foot-1 and weighed about 150 pounds. One of them was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with blue jeans. All of the men are black and 25 to 30 years old, police said.

Anyone with information on the robberies should call detectives at 312-744-8263.
