CHICAGO — After a bloody six-game series in the opening round of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs, you'd think that hatred between the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues fans was set in stone.

Now, some fans want it inscribed in brick.

A thread on the Blackhawks fan reddit page posted Wednesday asks other fans if they could raise the funds and purchase a brick for the St. Louis Blues Hall of Fame Plaza Brick Program. The proceeds from the brick purchases are helping to fund a new plaza outside of Scottstrade Center, the team's home arena.

According to the program's website, the inscribed bricks would surround statues of former Blues' players.

The opening suggestion on the reddit thread was a simple "Go Hawks," but the Blues say not so fast.

"No other team names can be put on the bricks," said Alicia Allen, a representative for the company handling brick purchases.

On the reddit thread, some fans seemed aware of the policy, and suggested other ways to sneak a pro-Hawks message on the brick:

Do you see it? The message is printed in acrostic form, spelling "NO CUP."

The Blues haven't won a Stanley Cup (in fact they have never won a Finals game) since entering the league in 1967.

Allen says she didn't know if a more cryptic message would pass through the inscription screeners.

"Best way to find out is to buy a brick," Allen said.
