CHICAGO — Three people were injured in shootings since Monday afternoon in South Shore and Austin.

The most recent shooting was just after midnight in South Shore, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman.

Around 12:05 a.m., a 21-year-old man was in the 7400 block of South Phillips Avenue when someone opened fire from a black car, striking him in the right knee. He was taken to South Shore Hospital in good condition, Sedevic said.

Six hours earlier, two people were shot in separate incidents in Austin.

Around 6 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in his right arm.

Around 5:13 p.m., an 18-year-old was walking in the 600 block of West Wabansia Avenue when he heard gun shots and felt pain in the buttocks. He was taken to Loyola Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. The man did not cooperate with police, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody for the shootings, Sedevic said.
