ROGERS PARK — Philly's Best owner Michael Markellos has opened the taps — eight to be exact.

The Philly cheese steak joint at 6800 N. Sheridan Road has obtained its incidental liquor license to serve alcohol and has transformed the former Ciao Bella Cafe coffee bar into a booze bar.

Markellos said he has "no complaints" since opening the restaurant in September.

Now on tap are Stella Artois, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Blue Moon, Revolution Brewing Double Fist Pale Ale, Lagunitas India Pale Ale, Two Brother's Sidekick Extra Pale Ale, Matilda and Founders.

Daily specials include $2 pizza slices with purchase of a drink on Monday, $1 off all drafts on Tuesday, $2 PBR drafts on Wednesday and $14 Miller Lite or Budweiser buckets of five on Thursday.
