CHICAGO — This week, the Michelin Guide named 59 Chicago restaurants to its coveted Bib Gourmand list that highlights affordable restaurants that are good for locals.

Here are four from that list that we think you should try this weekend:

• Table, Donkey, Stick

Named after a Grimm Brothers fairy tale, this Logan Square restaurant that specializes in German and "mountain" fare was one of 11 restaurants in the city that debuted on Michelin's list this year.

The menu features items like braised rabbit, roast goat and the Alpine Burger with onion marmalade, latkes, horseradish and apple mostarda.

2728 W. Armitage Ave.

• Parachute

Another newcomer to the list, Avondale's Parachute was named to it less than six months after opening. The restaurant, run by "Top Chef" contestant Beverly Kim and her husband John Clark, features Korean-American dishes including potato and salt cod croquettes with spicy plum sauce, or a pork belly, and mung bean pancake with kimchi, black garlic, hen egg and pineapple.

3500 N. Elston Ave.

• A10

The only restaurant named to the list south of Chinatown, A10 in Hyde Park got the coveted honor on the one-year anniversary of its opening.

The menu at the Italian-inspired restaurant features handmade pastas, pizza, seafood and game.

Chef Matthias Merges, who is behind other city favorites like Billy Sunday and Yusho, might also be honored with a Michelin star for one of his other restaurants next week.

1462 E. 53rd St.

• Smoque BBQ

This Irving Park favorite is a veteran. The restaurant has made Michelin's Bib Gourmand list since the list's inception in Chicago five years ago.

The restaurant covers its bases when it comes to barbecue. Ribs, brisket, pulled pork, chicken and Texas sausage are all on the menu.

3800 N. Pulaski Road
