NORTH LAWNDALE — An Englewood man died from multiple injuries he sustained after August beating.
On Aug. 1 at 11:45 p.m., a 33-year-old man was beaten on the 1900 block of South Kildare Avenue, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.
The man suffered swelling on the side of his face and head and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, Sweeney said.
The man was identified as Antonio Valentine of the 6000 block of South Winchester Avenue. He was pronounced dead on Oct. 31 at 4:31 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. According to the autopsy results, Valentine died from complications of multiple injuries he sustained from the beating.
The morgue said the man was 34 years old.
