LINCOLN PARK — The Green City Market is offering up a chance to experience the VIP life of a Chicago chef at the James Beard Awards.

The VIP package for two to the famed food awards, which are being held in Chicago in 2015, is just one item of the market's Junior Board online auction.

The Green City Market Junior Board is trying to raise $20,000 through the online auction running through Nov. 16.

Other items include a brewer for a day and dinner package with Moody Tongue Brewmaster Jared Rouben in Pilsen, a distillery and brewery tour at Journeyman Distillery and 3 Floyds Brewing Co., a chance to takeover the Bang Bang Pie Shop pie garden and a rooftop dinner at Farmhouse.

The top item, a night at the James Beard Awards includes two tickets to the event on May 4, 2015, including the post-awards gala, and dinner for two at Frontera Grill.

Frotera chef and James Beard Award winner Rick Bayless also threw in signed cookbooks to complete the package, which is valued at $1,000.

A complete list of auction items is available at this link.

The auction is being held in conjunction with the Junior Board's fall fundraiser "A (Mostly) Veggie Affair," which is being held at Chop Shop, 2033 W. North Avenue on Nov. 13.

Tickets to that event are on sale now for $55.
