HUMBOLDT PARK — Police issued a notice to residents after two armed robberies last month in Humboldt Park and Wicker Park.

During each robbery the victims were engaged in a conversation by one member of the group and then another person in the group pulled out a handgun.

The most recent incident occurred on Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. in the 1500 block of North Kedzie Avenue in Humboldt Park.

The first incident occurred Oct. 22 at 3 a.m. in the 1400 block of North Damen Avenue in Wicker Park.

The robbers are described as two or three black men in their 20s — between 5-foot-5 and 6-foot, and between 140 and 160 pounds — and two white or Hispanic men in their 20s — between 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-10 and 150 pounds.

Police are cautioning residents to be aware of large groups, and remain calm if confronted.

Anyone with information regarding these two incidents is asked to call 312-744-8263.
