CAPS Meetings Scheduled Throughout November in Uptown

UPTOWN — CAPS meetings scheduled in Uptown throughout November offer residents and concerned citizens a chance to discuss recent crime and other public safety concerns in the area with officers and officials.

Here's a schedule of meetings throughout November:

Beat 1913: Nov. 4, 7 p.m. at Truman College. 1145 W. Wilson Ave.

Beat 1913 spans from West Lawrence Avenue south to Montrose, and from North Clark Street east to North Broadway. The beat holds meetings the first Tuesday of every month.

Beat 1915: Nov. 6, 7 p.m. at the Ruth Shriman House, 4040 N. Sheridan Rd.

Beat 1915 sits between West Irving Park Road and Montrose and spans from Clark to the lake, where it includes most of Montrose Harbor. The beat holds meetings the first Thursday of each month.

Beat 1914: Nov. 12, 7 p.m. at Clarendon Park, 4501 N. Clarendon Ave.

Beat 1914 sits between Montrose and Lawrence, and spans east from Broadway all the way to the lake shore. Beat 1914 holds meetings the second Wednesday of each month.

Beat 2024: Nov. 20, 7 p.m. at Margate Park, 4921 N. Marine Dr.

Beat 2024 spans from North Kenmore Avenue east to Marine Drive between Lawrence and North Ainslie Avenue, and meets the third Thursday of each month.

Note: Beat 2033 holds meetings the first Wednesday of every other month, and will hold its next meeting on Dec. 3.
