NEAR WEST SIDE — Near West Side dogs and cats showed off their Halloween costumes early over the weekend at Mary Bartelme Park.
West Loop Veterinary Care celebrated its fifth anniversary with a pet parade and costume contest at the park Saturday afternoon.
Doggie costumes included a sailor, airplane pilot, Muppets character Miss Piggy, a lion, a frog, a hotdog and a piñata, among other creative get-ups.
