OLD TOWN — In 1968, The Beatles took a trip to India, meditated extensively and returned to release the "White Album."

On Thursday, "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da," "Helter Skelter," "Back in the U.S.S.R." and other hits from that album will be resonating through the Chicago History Museum during a Throwback Thursday night.

The party is being thrown in conjunction with the museum's "The 1968 Exhibit," which showcases the tumultuous year in a month-by-month exhibit.

Acclaimed Beatles tribute band American English is set to perform a 1968-themed performance complete with costumes.

The museum will also be featuring retro cocktails and snacks.

Era-attire is encouraged for guests to truly feel in tune with the exhibit.

Tickets to the event are $30, $20 for members of the museum.

"The 1968 Exhibit" opened earlier this month to critical acclaim and will run through Jan. 4 at the museum, 1601 N. Clark St.
