CHICAGO — Medical marijuana is coming soon to Chicago, but don't expect a dispensary on every corner. 

In fact, with only 13 licenses being issued in the city, many of Chicago's neighborhoods will be completely shut out. Over 200 applications have been filed statewide, including two nearly next-door neighbors on the Northwest Side. 

So who makes the call on where the dispensaries will be located? On today's DNAinfo Radio Extra, Heather Cherone explains how the two-pronged application works.
