ENGLEWOOD — Residents who are interested in seeing Hamilton Park function effectively are encouraged to become members of its advisory council.

A community meeting for prospective council members will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the park, 513 W. 72nd St.

Asiaha Butler, president of the Resident Association of Greater Englewood, said it is an official partner of Hamilton Park and is assisting the park with recruitment of new council members.

Among the roles of the council, according to Butler, is to encourage the community to utilize the many free park resources.

"Councils provide the community with a vehicle through which park information can be shared and assist in locating alternate funding sources to enhance park facilities," she said.
