PILSEN — A Pilsen group is looking for volunteers to help with a community cleanup Saturday.

The Greater Pilsen Economic Development Association will host the event from 8:30 a.m.-noon.

Volunteers should check-in at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at 18th Street and Blue Island Avenue. Participants will receive a free T-shirt, light refreshments and snacks before heading out to designated cleanup routes, according to the organization.

Volunteers can register for the event online.

The Pilsen group is presenting the clean up event with help from Ald. Danny Solis (25th); Libreria Giron; No Manches Clothing Co.; Pl-zen; Elvia Torres, State Farm agent; Nitecap Coffee Bar; La Casa Del Pueblo restaurant; Ciao Amore Italian Ristorante; Carnitas Uruapan; Del Sol Realty; and The Resurrection Project.

The Great Pilsen Economic Development Association also hosted a "green-and-clean" event in the neighborhood this summer.
