Lincoln Park Sexual Assault Leads to Police Warning

CHICAGO — After a 24-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in Lincoln Park over the weekend, police are warning residents in the area to report suspicious behavior and be aware of their surroundings.

The attack happened between Saturday night and Sunday morning in the 2500 block of North Lincoln Avenue, police said. A man took a woman by the hand and fondled her before dragging her into an alley and assaulting her, police said.

The attacker is described as a 6-foot-tall black man with a thin build and medium complexion. He is between 35 and 45 years old and was wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt and denim pants, police said.
