WEST TOWN — This weekend's West Town Art Walk will bring art in all forms to shops along Chicago Avenue.

The art walk, on Chicago Avenue from Milwaukee to Western avenues, is slated for 5-8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday. The events are sponsored by the West Town Chamber of Commerce, Dovetail and Seek Vintage.

During this Friday and Saturday event, attendees can enjoy visual art, music and fashion from Chicago artists showcased within West Town’s shops, businesses, restaurants and bars. Admission is free and a map of art walk stops is available at a check-in station at 1850 W. Chicago Ave.

"Our mission is to showcase West Town as a rich, cultural hub that has a lot to offer business owners, residents and visitors," said West Town Chamber of Commerce director Kara Salgado.

A full lineup and list of specials is available on the art walk website.

Complimentary rickshaws for transportation guests to art walk destinations and after parties at many participating businesses will be available until at least 10 p.m. Friday.

Established in 2011, the West Town Art Walk is an annual event organized by West Town business owners to celebrate the diversity of area businesses while highlighting Chicago artists. The West Town Art Walk is part of Chicago Artists Month.
