LINCOLN PARK — A DePaul University student's shirt was slashed with a knife during an assault Sunday night, according to a public safety alert.

According to the alert sent to students and faculty Monday morning, an assailant grabbed a female by the arm and slashed her shirt during the confrontation.

The aggravated assault took place at 2219 N. Racine Ave., near Trebes Park, at 11:15 p.m. Sunday.

The offender fled eastbound from the scene, according to the public safety alert.

The victim did not suffer any injuries, authorities said.
