CHICAGO — A 31-year-old man was shot during an attempted robbery in Logan Square early Thursday, police said.

Around 12:25 a.m., he was walking with two other men in the 2400 block of North Drake Avenue when he was approached by an unknown man, who demanded the man's cell phone, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokesman.

When he refused, the gunman shot him in the left leg before fleeing in a black sedan, Sedevic said.

The man was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition. No other injuries were reported, Sedevic said.
