DOWNTOWN — What could be better than re-stocking your Blackhawks gear as Chicago's team gears up for another potential Stanley Cup-winning season?

How about doing it for less than half the price?

The Blackhawks Store at 333 N. Michigan Ave. launched a moving sale Wednesday that will slash prices on all its merchandise by up to 75 percent through Sept. 30.

They've also extended their hours for the rest of the month and are now open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The store is clearing out merchandise in preparation for its move upstairs. In March, the team announced that the official retailer would expand into a two-floor flagship store in its current building at Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive.

"This is an incredible opportunity to engage with our fans on the Magnificent Mile, a world class location on one of the most iconic streets in the world," Blackhawks President and CEO John McDonough said in a release last winter.

“We envision the Blackhawks Store will become a must-visit destination for locals, tourists and fans alike.”

The store expansion is part of a $47 million renovation to the landmark building.
