STREETERVILLE — Golden Apple will host an education symposium focusing on the impact of digital media on youth culture and learning Monday at the Chicago Shakespeare's Courtyard Theater at Navy Pier.

Part of the education group's "Reimagining School" series, the 2½-hour event will include remarks from Samuel Dyson, director of the Hive Chicago Learning Network, and researcher Danah Boyd, author of “It’s Complicated: The Social Lives of Networked Teens."

The free symposium runs from 6:30-8 p.m. Monday. Registration is required and can be completed online.

The event is part of Social Media Week, which runs from Monday-Friday across Chicago.
