LAKEVIEW — Cereal prizes just got a whole lot better.
This Monday and next, 600 commuters will be given free fun-sized boxes of cereal at six CTA and Metra stop across the city — that's 100 boxes per location.
At each stop, six of the boxes will contain a gift certificate for free breakfast at one of these participating restaurants:
• Kanela Breakfast Club, 3231 N. Clark St.
• Ann Sather Restaurant, 909 W. Belmont Ave.
• Original Pancake House, 2020 N. Lincoln Park West
• Golden Apple Grill & Breakfast House, 2971 N. Lincoln Ave.
• Mather's Restaurant, 33 E. 83rd St.
• Original Soul Vegetarian, 205 E. 75th St.
• Dat Donut, 8249 S. Cottage Grove Ave.
• 5 Loaves Eatery, 405 E. 75th St.
• St. Restaurant Country Kitchen, 727 E. 87th St.
• Luversia's Soul Food Restaurant, 522 E. 79th St.
• Over Easy Café, 4943 N. Damen Ave.
• Eden's the Original, 6045 N. Cicero Ave.
• Mellow Yellow, 1508 E. 53rd St.
• Valois Restaurant, 1518 E. 53rd St.
• Clarke's Diner, 1447 E. 53rd St.
• Ms. Biscuit., 5431 S. Wabash Ave.
• Daley's Restaurant, 809 E. 63rd St.
• Norman's Bistro, 1001 E. 43rd St.
• John's Place, 2132 W. Roscoe St.
Commuters can pick up the cereal boxes starting at 8 a.m. at the following locations:
• 79th Street Station (Metra)
• Belmont Red Line
• Damen Brown Line
• 55th/Garfield Green Line
• Peterson and Cicero Bus Stop
• Belmont and Hoyne Bus Stop
The Central Lakeview Merchants Association is sponsoring the promotion. Boxes will be handed out while supplies last.
